Found these today in same area. The top right is the smallest I’ve ever seen. Names?

You are on it! The bottom left item looks like part of something much older.

Today’s find. Do you know the name of the small one? It’s as big as my pinky nail.

Man the variety is picking up. Top left is a worn out Andice. Highly collectable in good shape. The tiny point looks like a scallorn. The point far right may be a worked down paleo. Those points range over about 10,000 years.

Have you tried the broken tip bottom right to see if it fits the paleo looking point?

Here are a few I found in LLano county. Not sure the type of any of them. I have a shoe box full from this place, but not sure where movers put them when we recently moved.

Yesterday’s finds. Starting to slow down a little. I believe there is a drill.

SabineHunter 06-23-2021 04:28 PM

Jack, awesome finds

GarGuy 06-23-2021 06:51 PM

Looks like the ear from another Andice up top. It might even fit the broke Andice a few days ago.

DWS 06-23-2021 09:42 PM

What type is this? Found in Bandera county. Thanks

I think you are right but it still may be a paleo flute channel flake. The platform sure was carefully prepared for just a reduction flake. Thanks for the pics

3ChordTruth 06-25-2021 08:12 PM

Beauties, such skilled, careful flaking to get that thinning and symmetry. ;)b

GarGuy 06-25-2021 10:41 PM

Fairyland is a good call. It was a killer

Just found this near a run off area on my property. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...89fa9fd866.jpg
I don’t know much about the subject but would like to learn. Can someone ID this and also what are the chances of more being around

Show the other side and the broken stem . That is one of the most important features. What part of the state as well.

Oh...and quit biting your nails

Oh sorry. Southern Jack county

GarGuy 06-27-2021 09:53 PM

Ok. It is probably a yarborough but I'm not totally sold on that. It has the look of an older type. Very well made spear point. I assume you are near a river or drainage. No doubt there will be more.

About 3000 years. It could possibly be a Wilson and 3 times that old.

GarGuy, every so often you need to hear a TBH “thanks” for your expertise. I am a little bit smarter about names and ages of points thanks to you. Always look forward to your comments when a new pic of a point shows up on TBH, keep it up. ;)b
