I found all the bird points within 20yds of eachother. I got 2 high spots I've found all them on

Copper87 11-24-2015 01:46 PM

Just found this at my ranch in glasscock co.

What could it be? Knife? Preform?

Flint knapper 11-24-2015 03:12 PM

I would be out looking all the time if I had property that had a lot of artifacts!

As it is I find one every once in awhile!

I hear ya. The ranch I spend most of the time at has a few but it's hard looking.

Johnny 11-24-2015 04:02 PM

Dang Copper, you are making me want to ditch this deer hunting and get back on the Artifacts! Looks like a great place to surface hunt. Great finds and thanks for sharing.

I'm in a deer blind in west tx right now wishing I was back down south looking for points! Place is loaded! Just wish I had like a whole weekend to just look for points instead of a couple hrs a day. I bet you could fill a 5 gallon bucket up over a weekend. All those finds took about an hr and were 20yds apart. I picked one up and would look a ft and grab another! It's a great feeling when that happens.

Are you new to the place? I remember that feeling... it was like that the first several years we had the place. I would get a 44oz Styrofoam cup drink on the way down once finished I would only put the 100% complete ones in it. At the end of the weekend it would be full to the top. I would find about 20 brokes to 1 complete.

Also, I had several 5gal buckets of brokes I finally had to dump out. It just got too much to lug around.

It's the Callaghan ranch 100,000+ acres lowfence heaven. My buddy has a spot on it and I go down with him. If I had a spot on it I would live there for 4 months out of the year!🙈 This is his 2nd ur on it. Like I said we hunt in the morning and evening so I only look for a 1hr or 2 mid day😪

Copper87 11-24-2015 05:57 PM

I love to deer hunt and look for points! I don't know what to do!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Those are neat. i am not familiar with types from up there. They are quite similar to Archaic types from Texas though and likely the same age. 3-6,000 years old.

Some of the suckers are sharp. Specially the two next to the bigger spear head.

E.TEXAS4LIFE 02-14-2016 03:03 PM

Was wondering if anyone could identify these. I'm not sure if they're anything but I'm thinking maybe some kind of axe and then 2 beginner points made by a Indian kid in training? http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b0689535f8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a4ff34edaa.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...8300b9f954.jpg

After following Garguy and Johnny's digs it has motivated me to do some looking. I found this today in a creek by the house, it looks like the bottom half of a broken one to me what do y'all think? It's tough hunting here in NE Montgomery county thanks http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...56e6c89b07.jpg

Ok, I have been interested in arrowheads for awhile and decided to do a search and came across this thread.
My lease is in Mason County and we have a couple creek beds and a big canyon I call it.
Where do I even start to look???

Maybe a Gary projectile but the base is more square, tough one the shape is a little odd like its spent some time in the water, regardless a cool find.

I have had a frame of broke arrowheads in my office for a long time. Not many folks ever have a comment about them. I decided to bring a grind bowl to the office for display. For whatever reason everybody comments and wants to know about it. I was even asked if I made it to look that way lol. I thought I would post pics for the masses.
