Mule Pro flat bed build
I usually run around in 2 seat mode, but the kids are getting bigger and we need more room . Rolling in 4 seat mode leaves a pretty small bed, and that's just not good enough for me.
I layed this thing out exactly like the factory bed so I could use the original latch points. I like it so far..... Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |

Following, interested to see how it turns out.

Very cool! Tagged!

Got the hinges fabbed, and mounted the bed frame to see how it looked. It all fit perfect, everything lined up to the factory bump stops. Took it back off, and plan to install the deck plate & weld it out next.
The new bed will extend about 6" past the tailgate when it was in the down position, if that makes sense. I plan to utilize the old headache rack since it has the backrest, and all of the seatbelts integrated into it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...05a0e7a0f7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c695e8905d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f2853214c5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ea46d92d20.jpg Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |
I’ve been wanting to do the same. Looking good.
|
That looks great, are you going to weld a new hitch receiver on the back end? Looks pretty far and not much clearance underneath for a trailer if you needed to pull one.

These came in today.
Interco Sniper 920 on MSA M12's 28x10x14 No suspension lift, but tires alone raised it 2". Rides nice, quiet, and smooth. I will probably do the super atv rear arms to help with extended bed, and wheel clearance. That rear tire is too close to the body for me. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...26ed909cca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cd8c311fbd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...65067133aa.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...47f76788d3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...79646f2e09.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2c689f61e2.jpg Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |
Looking good !

Looks great! Like the material choice. Did a similar build 3 or 4 years for dog boxes and foot locker. Tried to make it look factory as possible.
|
Good work. Looks awesome
|
Looking good. May I request a picture of your front cargo set up. thanks in advance.

following.. looking good!

Now this is going to be cool. You better patent it. Lol
|
Looks awesome man, I prefer the mules over the Rangers with the exception of the bed space. If I ever get one I will do the flat bed for sure.
You fit those 28's with no suspension lift? Does it rub in the front when the wheel is cranked all the way left or right? Super jealous of your rig. |

I was on one with larger than stock tires and the rears rubbed the back of the body under load. Now the load was 7 dudes, me being the lightest @195, and about 150 beers...but they rubbed. Awesome setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

^^^ any interest in making another for sale?
You can PM me. Dang dog box fills the bed of my FXR and would like to carry a cooler with water for the dogs. It’s getting hot!!! |
I’ve been thinking about this since I bought mine. I’d like to check it out in person when you’re done, if that’s cool.

One of my new tires seems to be out of round. :(
I called Rocky Mountain, and they advised to air it up 15 more pounds, and let it sit 24hrs. If that don't help, they will have to warranty it! On a better note, going to pick up the diamond plate for the bed today! Hope to have her decked and start welding out Friday night. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |
Thanks for the pictures of the front bumper basket. Nice job, that's heavy duty.
|
In for pics of rear setup, would love to do this on my ranger

That is way cool. If I had a basket like that on the front of mine I would ram the **** out of everything, no telling how many gates or feeder legs I would tear up.
Anxious to see the finished product, your doing great work. |
Maybe mount a receiver hitch under the perimeter framing in the back. Could hold your feeder, could also be used for a hoist or hitch rack, maybe small trailers.
