Target buck or pass ?

I don't think I've ever whacked a buck opening morning (did whack one 1st sit in KS a couple years ago).

Ethan (grandson) wants this deer, lol. But he can't hunt til the 15th.

This buck is at the feeder EVERYTIME it feeds and I'll be sitting there in the am if my truck gets outta the shop today.

Couple other bucks on cam that prob score more but we both like this one cause of height and mass. Plus he's a bigger bodied deer.

No guarantee I even get a shot but if I do...... Sorry E !

Our rule is if a “target” or “hit list” buck steps out in front of anyone, they get to shoot him no questions asked.

If whoever wants to shoot a buck, they better get their butt in a stand.

Football games plus his mom's weekend to see him are getting in the way. If he goes the 15th, we'll barely be there in time for Sat eve's hunt.

been my experience passing on deer while hoping my kids get a chance at him results in neither one of us getting the deer.


Lot can happen in two weeks and that deer may leave the area completely.

Yeah, I'm all for keeping kids active and letting him get that one would sure keep him interested...but if the neighbors are hunters I believe I would have to stick him.
