Serious accident while hunting

As always I'm listening to Meat Eater podcast. Curious what if any life threatning injury or serious injury you may have sustained while hunting.

Fortunate for me mine have been minor cuts, falls etc. I want hear your expierence you may have had in the field.

My uncle was sitting in an old stand. He leaned back in the chair and it broke. He fell about 10-12 ft. Broke a bone in his back. Was lucky he fell between 2 tposts. Could have been a lot worse.

Nothing life threatening. Last year, the day after Christmas I believe, I was tracking a deer for some folks at night near San Saba. I hopped over a cross fence, landed on a rock and rolled my ankle. I sprained it so bad it still bothers me from time to time.
