Appraisal cost for 80 acres, Gillespie county

I just received a quote for an appraisal on my property in Gillespie county...$2,200...is it just me or does that seem ridiculously high?

Seems right on, actually slightly cheap...

They wanted 2500 for my 11.5 acres in Brazoria. It was easy to access as well

Edit: I was thinking survey as well...

My appraisal was around $250-300 if memory serves.

Thks, had no clue they were that high. If he doesn’t ask me for the gate code I’m gonna ask him for a discount lol.

        Actually, that is cheap, kinda.

I would suggest if you had the money...buy it

Yeah I would expect that for a survey.

That is not out of line but might be a bit high I would have guessed
1,800 to 2k for a bank appraisal. These are a lot more work typically chasing down comps than a standard residential appraisal. Do you know who you the appraiser is?

                          Byron Setser
He’s also doing it within 3 weeks so that might have contributed to the price as well.

I'd get some additional estimates. Your bank or credit union should be able to help.

No sir, an appraised value of the property to determine the value of said asset.
