    Whats the Average?

I am new to the game but not the sport. I have been bowhunting for 10 yrs but have never shot 3D.

I shot SGAC's shoot Sat and Sun. and was just wondering what a pretty good score is. From what I understand 300 is pretty good, but is that an understatement?(I didn't shoot a 300)

275-300 Id consider very good, 300+ excellent.

Consider that 360 is perfect and go from there.

It has a TON to do with the course you are shooting, there have been days that I have been happier with a 280 than other days when I shot a 318 on an easier course.

I would say 300 was the average for the course this weekend, it was set up fairly short, and only 15 targets shot twice, we should see some 220's for sure. George was promoting his Spartan rounds so the targets were not as stretched out as they normally are. By the way Spartan round was a blast and I recommend everyone giving that a whirl, as I had never shot field archery. A true test is say Buffalo where the average shot is 30 yards, average score is way down from 300. If you didn't have bino's, that is worth ten points. All of this is of course My Opinion! Last but not least it is what you get out of it! Practice and FUN!

I plan on trying the spartans next month one day. I just want to get a couple more shoots under my belt. I plan on going to Buffalo on Sun.
