    Sharks and Locals.

We headed out last weekend for a quick fishing trip and scuba dive offshore out of Port O' Connor last weekend. What beautiful water!!! Was the cleanest and clearest I have seen in a while. We limited out both days with snapper and caught a shark. Scuba diving was another experience in itself.. one of these days I am going to get that underwater housing so everyone can see what I am talking about.

    Shark (what kind?? Sand??)

And the shot I always take everytime we go out

After we came in, I am so glad that I got this shot. Just a pure and simple explination of us POC locals... I do this quite often, watch the rich'ers come in and smash their boats...

Hard to tell about the shark, need to see more of the fins and ail to be more confident.
My guess is a Sandbar Shark. Could be a BlackTip or a WhiteTip, but I can't see enough of the fins. Great photos, the color is amazing.

It looks like a Dusky shark to me.

That water was amazing, diving in it was even better

I didn't get a good look at the shark, I barely had enough time to grab my camera to get a few shots of it...

What were the seas and how far did you go out?

Sea's were 1-2', if I remember right, with a small/hardly any wind wave, and we were off 20ish miles from the end of the Big Jettys in POC. There we had a depth of about 85-90'

Nice pics. I would guess the shark is a blacktip but without a better shot of the fins I couldnt say for sure. Did ya'll keep it or cut it loose? MMMMMmmm shark steaks are yummy.
