So last week I got a much needed vacation, finally!! It couldn't get here soon enough and was over WAY to quick!
We all had a lot of fun though.
These pics ain't nothin' spectacular but here they are. The story behind the one with just the chair and umbrella goes like this.
I was planning to get a pic of the sun just coming up over the water, right. Well the first day I over slept just a tad so that night I set the alarm for 4:30am to be sure not to miss it. Alarm goes off, I get up, walk outside and it's foggy! To make the best of it I head across the street to the beach, find me a spot and wait. At first I think the umbrella is a guy fishin' then as it starts gettin a little lighter outside I see it's just an umbrella and chair so I figured I just grab a couple while it still fairly dark to past the time. Several minutes go by and I see some of the sun rays and I think the fog will be gone soon and then it hit me. If I'm on a beach that runs East and West and I"m facing South the sun ain't gonna be over the water. Still, I think it has a very lonely feel to it.
I learned one thing on this trip. I really need to clean my sensor!!! Way to much cloning. My son even got the big catch of the day!! The dolphin/sea lion shot is about 100% crop so it probably looks a bit rough.

"Poor people" got on the $$$$ lease while us vacationers have to beg someone to hold our hand just to go hog huntin' out there
