    Jeep Floorboard fix

Bought a Jeep and they had cleverly disguised the rusted floor pans. What is the best way to fix these.

Cut out the rust and weld in new metal.

Doesn't look bad. I'd wire wheel it, ospho, then paint.

Ditto, no bad at all. Pull those drain plugs if it will be catching rain.

Looking good. I would eat that if I was working on the floorboard of my jeep.

grind it out. Prime and paint. That is not too deep of rust and not much to be worried about.

If your serving this to the repair crew I’ll be there shortly with my wire brush.

This 100%. Throw a wire wheel on a grinder and go to town.

Like said above get a cup wire brush, they make them for drills and grinders that will clean it up enough. Then vacuum the dust out. Clean with a wax removal solvent then prime and paint with rustproof paint.

Let’s see a pic of what you are working on.

Por-15 rust preventer. Some of their products go right over slight rust without loose stuff.
It’s legit, we use it on trailers and whatnot here with road salt all winter and it works.
Be cautious though, it’s 10x more permanent than a tattoo on skin or any surface. Buy some acetone to wash your hands before it dries, and a box of heavy rubber gloves.
