    Reverse Osmosis problem/ fix?

Trying to see if anyone has experience with Reverse Osmosis water filtration.

The one I have is out of water and was making a leaking sound in the sink drain.

I checked it's pressure and tank was at 7.5

    The tank fills empty.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

We have a salt filtration where it comes into the house and that services the entire home...save the kitchen sink. It ....the kitchen sink...has a reverse osmosis system (it's either 2 or 3 filters water goes through) and then into a 1 gallon holding tank. That is all under the kitchen sink. It is also directed to a separate faucet and is drinking water only.

You have to replace (or have replaced if you have a service plan like us) the filters from time to time. If the filters are bad enough that they are clogged, water flow will not go to the holding tank because of the restriction but had to go somewhere so it drains into the garbage disposal and through the pea trap then..... who knows where from there.

That was the issue I had, may be your problem or may not. If not, sorry I can't help ya

If it has filters to it, I would start by replacing the filters to the system.

RO waste about as much water as it filters, so thats the waste line you hear leaking in the sink drain.
If you disconnect the tank does water come out the line?
If its leaking in the sink I would say its not any type filter, but either the RO membrane, or a pressure problem with the tank.
You don't get waste water until you hit the membrane, and it takes a certain psi to force water through the membrane.
Any change in water pressure on the feed side?
The systems are pretty basic, shoot me a pm if you have any other questions.

Thanks guys, seems the water has stopped going into the drain because I don't hear it dripping anymore but I have very little water come out of the faucet and then it stops and just get a few drops.

Might have to just try replacing the filters.

Need to find a place to buy them
