What's the worse vehicle you've ever owned?

    Spin off thread.
Not talking about worse dealership (as in your car breaks and they take forever to fix)

Which vehicle had the most issues?

My sister had a Ford Pinto and it was pretty bad LOL
I had a Chevy Citation - Front bearings just fell out one day..among many other issues. Both of these were way long ago though.

Dodge Durango - Probably the worst we've had. Power windows kept going out, transmission went out, heat sensor, of course the sensors that make it pass emissions went out, and on and on.

Back in the 80's my sister had a Triumph Spitfire. Total POS! It would go through pistons every other month. Yes she drives like a wild woman, but her next car never did that, what a miserable couple of years.

I've yet to have one to really complain about. My wife had a Mazda 6 with all kinds of constant issues, but is was a ragged out POS so what do you expect?

Don’t know if I’ve ever had a bad car. Liked some more than others. But have been pretty lucky. Either that or I just don’t know what having a good car is like since I’ve always had old ones I’m constantly working on. Luckily my wife’s cars have always been good and never left her stranded. I’ve blown a head gasket on my 71 f100 driving home one night middle of 91 freeway in Cali. Had a CHP officer push me off the freeway with his cruiser. Had my f250 die on me driving back from a hunt in Nebraska Right in the middle of 35 in Fort Worth. But stuff I’ve always been able to fix and get back going. And I am really particular about maintenance on my vehicles.

I’ve had a few old early 90s Toyota pickups that I loved. An 89 Geo Tracker as a first car that I now wish I still had but couldn’t wait to get rid of when I had it haha. An explorer, Several Rangers, an f150, Honda civic commuter, ford flex, gmc Acadia, dodge 3500 dually, Silverado, currently a 2001 7.3 f250. Never any real problems with any of them.

Same here, a 1995 we kept for 11 months before trading off on a new Tahoe '99 in 1998. Admittedly, we bought it used and didn't know the history so that could definitely have been a factor.

As far as new vehicles, toss up between the previously mentioned Tahoe and possibly my 2004 Sierra 2500 HD. Both fried the transmission in under 25k miles without being abused or really worked much. I'd probably have to give the edge to the Tahoe though but partially because of a dealership mistake.

The driver's side valve cover gasket started leaking around 50k miles as I recall. Took it to the dealership for a warranty repair, we paid for the extended warranty, the wife brought it home after the repair was done and the engine was knocking.

Apparently, the mechanic that performed the repair didn't clean out all the old gasket material before putting it back together and some got into a fluid journal. Dealership's solution? Rebuild that one cylinder. And they tried to charge us for an oil change after fixing their mistake.

Tahoe got traded off about 2k miles before the warranty expired.

Hands down for me was an 07 Dodge Ram with the 5.7 Hemi. The engine was good other than using a quart of oil between oil changes that started at 50k miles. Then at 100k, it went to 2 quarts. BUT, the transmission went through 3 shift solenoid packs, 3 water pumps, speakers constantly blowing for no reason, driver door window motor, drivers seat ripped as most did, and on and on and on. Thats why I'll never own another Chrysler product.

Btw, my mom had a Chevy Citation. Couldn't keep front struts on it. Had to replace about every 20k miles.

My dad's '77 F250 and a Ford Escort my mom had in the early 80's. My dad was a helluva mechanic and I can still hear him cussing those vehicles! He made my brother and I swear we'd never buy a Ford, haha.

1981 Ford F100 with a 300 6 cylinder was an electrical nightmare. 1974 International Scout, I bet I had that transmission rebuilt 3 times.

2013 Buick enclave! It stayed in the shop

Close second was my 1962 Nash skateboard- it hit every Rock I rolled over and stopped in its tracks. I went to their warranty department but they totally ignored me and even laughed in my face. I went to trade it in on another brand but there wasn’t any other brand - it totally sucked .
