Who else is chomping at the bit for application day to get here?

After drawing archery AND gun last year, hopefully the luck sticks with at least 1 draw here. You guys drew me in and I got the LANWR bug.

Now that I have 2 bulls under my belt the easy way, it's time to stick one with the compound.

I screwed up when quartering and didn't think about the capes for mounting. Not fully understanding the size of these things and never having to work on something so big was a bit daunting. Luckily I had a buddy and met a guy who helped. Taking 2 the same day was a bit greedy on my part.

My mounts are in process and will be finished this month. They will be neck mounts and I'm going to make a LANWR sign to mount them to for display.

I hope to draw a gun tag. My foot goes under the knife to fix a fully torn ligament in two weeks and it will be in a boot for 6-8 weeks after that. I don't know that I'll be up to the rigors of bow hunting this season.
