A/C Enzyme Treatment- Helpful or Scam?

A local service company is offering me a free benefit... an A/C Enzyme treatment that they say will help keep my new system free of bacteria. Is this a helpful service & product or is it a scam?

I do a monthly retainer with this company for a low $$ and they throw stuff like this out there all the time.

What exactly do you get with your monthly retainer? That sounds like a scam in itself.

Ha- you pay $20 a month and build up the same in credit with them. They give you priority service, other free small services like air filter replacement, etc. We may cancel it in the future, but testing it out this year.

I think it may if you have the smaller in-house ones. We have the one big one in the attic.
