Bass Master Classic 2023

Does anyone still follow the Bass Master's? The Superbowl of bass fishing finished up yesterday and I didn't really even know it was happening. I guess I'm watching the wrong channels.

I watched it all 3 days. Gussy pulled off the live scope win on deep smallmouth. Thought the largemouth guys would pull it off in the end.

I watched it yesterday and the coverage ended before the weigh-in. Not sure what was up with that...

I watched some of it. I was less than impressed with 42lbs in 3 days to win it.

That dink fest was boring. I know Knoxville is a great place to have the Classic, but the fishery was terrible IMO.

They couldn't even show the anglers yesterday on the primetime coverage, because no one was catching any fish. Worst Classic I've ever followed.

I like the Major League Fishing format better.

I think it's a better assessment of who is the best fisherman, because there is no limit, and every legal fish is weigh and released immediately.

I also like the live standings being updated.

I can assure you those two aren't the only scopers and maybe not even the best at it on the elites. They are just two of the 3 that have landed on the right schools this season.




This was a horrible tournament but congrats to Gussy for getting it done.

Yeah I don’t know why they don’t pick a lake for the classic that has some big fish in it . Would definitely make it more enjoyable to watch!

Because they have to have somewhere they can have the expo and the big weigh ins. Most lakes that are big bass lakes don’t have the infrastructure close by.

Lake Conroe still had them driving to downtown to do all that. Ray Bob had everything kinda close too.

It’s all about the money.

Those 2 aren't even close to the best scopers on tour, they just figured out the bite on those 2 fisheries. And you forgot Tyler Rivet on Okeechobee


Gussy won there doing the exact same thing with 2d sonar last time they were there.
