    Hummingbird season 2023!

Anyone seeing any yet? Little early but I’m sure they are working their way north. I’m going to get all my feeders ready this weekend.

Please post pics of feeders and what you feed. I’ve always just use distilled water and sugar, 4-1 method. Clean regularly.

Put just one feeder out this week and will keep changing it until I see one then I'll put the rest... Any day now I expect the little a-hole that rules my property to return, lol.

Same ratio as you but I have well water and use that instead of distilled since it has no chemicals. I test it regularly and it passes through an extensive carbon filtration system.

Putting mine out this weekend. 3 on the east side of the deck that can be viewed from the kitchen, dining and living room! Mostly HUGE windows on the east side of our house!

This is a migration map where people can post sightings. I have one feeder out and I've been keeping a close eye on this map so I know when to put the rest out since I am not at home during the day.

I haven’t seen any yet north of Lufkin. Thanks for the migration map.

We have a couple of mallards have shown up last week that come back each spring for the past 4 years. I think the hen is one we raised a few years back because she comes up to the porch if her and her beau don’t have feed put out by the ponds.

I have a big outdoor weekend coming up. Have to get the yeard cleaned up, my potted veggies planted, hummingbird feeders cleaned up and put out. I got these types last year, easy to clean and seem to work well.

In case everyone forgot what they look like. Hope to see black-chinned here in Colorado Co.

Had them show here in Boerne on March 3rd - same day the Barn Swallows returned. Feeder was hanging without food, one flew in to check. Filled it and now hammering it. Rubythroated male - females should start winging in in a week or so. Males show first.
