Texas Cold Weather

What impact will the cold weather (ice and snow) have on axis and other exotics? I remember 2 yrs ago the cold weather was devastating on the axis and some other exotics.

Did not get cold enough to hurt them. Feb 2021 it was -4 at my house one morning. We did not get close to that this time

The weather here got pretty cold during the past cold spell. I have no idea how cold it would need to be to affect the axis but the axis we have here are fine.

I raise axis and blackbucks. Non issue, 2years ago big issue, lost several animals.

Two years ago it was a lot colder for a lot longer. They’ll be fine.

I didn’t even lose any plants with in freeze. I can’t imagine the fauna were knocked down by it.

Hate to hear about all the property damage and loss of electricity.

I put a feeder in the back yard an hour ago because I hope the axis I keep seeing on the vacant ranch behind me need food……and lead poisoning
