    Best solar fence charger?

Looking for something to keep hogs out of a food plot at night. Plan to build a permanent heavy duty 12.5ga fence and just pick the charger up for parts of the year, when it's not needed.

I just purchased the solar charger from TSC for my old bull Who decided barbed wire is like spaghetti to him. Seems to be working well.
I add trampoline springs to the corners to give the wire tension and bounce.
The Hotwire I have along the river doesn’t seem to bother the hogs though. They barrel right through it [emoji2371] it’s a 100 mile 110v charger too.
I keep trampoline springs on it also otherwise I find the wire busted and slung to the ground.

    Best of luck!

I used to be a big believer in Gallager. But I switched to Parmak a few years ago for my 110V charger. The solar gallagher I have seem to be cheaply made. The solar panel apparently have an acrylic or plastic coating , which doesn't hold up to the sun as long as they should (for the price).

Parmak are made in the USA and I would take a look at this model (3.1 joules is impressive). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00099FAJI...ps_1_3-20&th=1

This is what I use. I’ve found the all in ones don’t hold a charge well enough. This will knock your *** on the ground. I use the 30 amp hour batteries from harbor freight and a 20 watt solar panel and charge controller (also Amazon). That was if one component breaks or fails you can swap it out.

In my experience though you won’t be able to keep the hogs out. The bigger ones will stay away but the sows and piglets come through. Hard to have the wire low enough without grounding out. I’ve been thinking about doing a half panel all the way around with shock wire above to keep cows out. But that’s a lot of work and money. So far they just eat and move on until I can shoot them, hopefully that stays that way.

The best? Gallagher and Patriot. I've used both for many many years. The only problem I've had is when it gets dry the ground wire isn't enough. But the chargers are great!

I didn't even know Paramark was around anymore.
