It’s that time of year the cowboys are in town, viva Las Vegas! Can’t believe there isn’t a thread already!

What’s everybody’s thoughts so far with two rounds down?

The Wright boys continue to dominate, Stetson setting the record for youngest to earn 2m$. Seems to have the bull riding and all around all but locked down, has a chance to win the bronc riding.

Steer wrestling is gonna get tighter the later it gets.

Team roping was pretty sub par round 1, all you had to do was catch without a penalty to be in the money.

Calf roping could get interesting, really pulling for Douch from Huntsville.

Hoping to see Rocker Steiner pull it together. He's 10th now (Bareback). I've know the family all my life. Went to school with Sid and Shane.

Pulling for Zack Jongbloed in the calf roping. They are neighbors of ours and our families go back 3 generations. They are great people, couldn’t ask for a better young man.

Watching every night. 4th of July used to be cowboy Christmas but now the NFR.

I’ve watched the NFR most of my life. Been busy and not home the last few nights. I’m having a hard time finding it on any streaming service. Anyone got any tips?

Round 5:

Bareback- Cole Franks has horse of the year that he was 93 on earlier this year. Tilden Hooper has Virgil, I'd love to see him set the arena record tonight, he has the horse to do it.

Saddle Bronc- Ryder Wright has seemed to just been drawing terribly. Gotten on 6 head in 4 rounds

Bull Riding- Would like to see Maverick Potter get one rode

Steer Wrestling- Jorgenson keeps his foot on the throttle and its over in the few rounds

Team Roping- Driggers and Nogiera had it in the bag coming in, sitting 2nd in the average might as well stick a fork in it

Tie Down- getting to the point where Smidt could wrap it up as Mayfield and Douch have let him extend his lead


Is it just me or does anybody else wish they would televise the Steer Roping with the rest of the events?

Stetson is a beast. But with a name like Stetson I don't think you have any choice but to rodeo for a living. I would love to go to the NFR one year
