    50 cal Ammo can Firebox

Been running into a lot of campgrounds that don’t allow wood or charcoal fires but do allow gas fire pits. We don’t have much storage in our RV so the ammo can fire pits for sale would work perfect size wise. Didn’t want to spend $200 on a Lavabox or Firecan so searched YouTube and came up with this version. Supplies came to $60-70 and we’ve now got a compact propane firebox for ambiance & some warmth at the campground when wood/charcoal not allowed. I’ll try turning regulator down and cooking over it next time we’re out.

Good Idea, I'll add one if that's ok that I have used.

        Small Fire Can
Needed, Small coffee can, one roll of toilet paper, one bottle of isopropyl alcohol.
Remove cardboard from TP, stuff TP in can and soak TP with alcohol.

I made a big one out of a military flare can, thinking you can use an ammo can also.
Think I used 4 rolls of TP and 3 bottles of alcohol.

The old deer stand heater. I almost burned a 1978 C10 to the ground with one of those once.

              Nice build.
I remember when I was a cub scout we rolled cardboard strips tightly and put them in a tuna can then filled it with wax. Poor mans Sterno I guess.

Brings back some old memories when we used the coffee can, toilet paper and alcohol.
