    Another Pit Blind Install

I put in a second pit blind in our place near Knox City, the tank on this one was a little worse for wear but will still serve the purpose of concealment, so here we go..

I installed a sucker rod ring at the bottom to get the original shape back and to give the concrete and tie wire something to anchor too.

Next was to dig the pit, wet blow sand digs pretty well and is easy to work with!

The first blind I put in was over 7 years ago and the ½”concrete backer board has proven to be impervious to rot or gnawing rodents, so in goes the walls with metal angle to hold the corners together.

The pit is then leveled up with a couple of bags of secrete for the floor, I will then leave a 1.5” lip above grade to hold my second pour of concrete in place.

I typically come back the next day and place the blind and finish it out by pouring the 4 top ledge sections which usually consist of 4 more bags of concrete.

As you can see its almost finished, I’m coming back with rolled insulation for the inside, fresh paint and a sliding door over the camera port.

I think this one may be the least amount of money I've invested in with 8 bags on concrete and a roll insulation this one was pretty cheap!
