    Pool patio/decking help McKinney

We had a pool and patio put in about a year and a half ago. New pool owner ignorance let me not read or question all the details of our contract. It states that it does not cover damage due to “settling”.

We have travertine for the patio and around the pool. I have one side that is about a 3 ft X 10ish ft section that is sinking. It hasn’t affected the pool or at least I can’t tell but has crack one of the travertine tiles and is obviously sinking on one side.

We are looking for someone around McKinney that can come out and take a look. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Get one of the foam injection companies to raise it back up

There is probably some cosmetic work to be done too. Looking for recommendations for good reliable work.

Just like your home. Soaker hose around any foundation. During extreme drought

Good luck to y’all! Our tiles here in Prosper have separated, but they’ve said there’s not a ton we can do about it. Saying it will happen again.

Call Alan Johnson 214.236.8884 (Double A Pool Inspections). He is who I use for all my clients' pools. He will know who can fix it right. He'll probably recommend Custom Pool Care out of Richardson.

Thanks guys. We expected some movement but this is too much that I only think will get worse.

I would let it run its course then have the travertine stone reset. If you remove and replace the concrete it will be quite expensive, most companies have a 300 - 400 foot minimum on the concrete, you have no where near that much.

Call Mike Up hutch at Legacy Pavers.
                    I’ll pm his contact info.
The good news is the deck is poured separate from the pool and should have be effect on pool structure itself

^^^How can that much movement not potentially affect the structure of the pool itself? Interesting.

I'm betting there is not concrete under there (or not enough). Perhaps OP can confirm but not sure how a slab base would be that far off in the middle unless it is seriously cracked. Is this a full slab or an aggregate/crushed rock base?

OP, I would be pizzed and calling the installer. I can tell by how green your grass is that this is not a lack of moisture issue (i.e. normal settling) but a slab failure or they didn't pack the base well enough originally.

Man, I agree. That is a lot of movement on such a small slab. Is there a substantial gap between the travertine and the pool beam?

Do you have any pictures of that end of the pool before the decking was ever done ?

Thanks for the feedback. We have had so many problems with the builder. So much so we haven’t paid our last 10k and we starred Nov 2020.

It was not concrete just packed aggregate (or not so much). Some more pics.
