Tactacam X vs XB picture quality

Has anyone tried the new tactacam x 2.0 or XB to see if the picture quality is any better than the normal X? This picture is the normal X non HD version. Trying to decide if I need to buy more X cameras on sale for $100 or is the XB is actually any better for the picture quality.

Pic quality on the XB should be better, as it has a higher resolution option.

That said, the HD pics on even the Gen 1 X cameras are very good. I’ll spend the occasional $5 for 50 pictures I can select. I’m using my cameras for scouting purposes, not trying to win any game cam photo contests.

Definitely higher res on the card pull vs the X. Idk what it'll look like on the app. For the $20 more an XB costs it could be worth it just to have the flexibility of both cell networks.

If there’s a pic you really want a better look at just request the HD pics. That being said, Tactacam has continued to improved their cameras in two years more than anyone else in the business.

I'm familiar with requesting HD pics and that higher resolution pictures will be stored on the card but I was just curious about the transmitted picture quality. I have bought 56 cell cameras so far over the years but most were 3g so its time to upgrade.

Any idea if there is a separate service plan required for adding a camera with a different carrier? We have 10 onVerizon and are considering trying AT&T in a couple of poor service areas for Verizon.

You just pay to add cameras. The service carrier doesn’t matter. They will run on Verizon or AT&T, same cost.

I'm new to the cell camera game but I don't see need to pull my card. I can erase it and see if it's getting full from the app.
