Need help picking a fire place.

Wife and I are building our barndo and I’m having a hard time choosing a fireplace. I have propane, no gas, and would like to have a dual fuel. It’s definitely not a deal breaker. Can someone give me some feed back on what they have done in the past and pros/cons. Not sure on all the choices and options.

Isokern fireplace inside structure with an all stone/masonry fireplace. I have it so that I can use propane to get it going if needed but it is a all wood burning fireplace for heat. Last year was our first winter and it did great. Hope it helps.

And the Lopi, will not only heat your house. (It has a fan)
I've cooked a lot of meals on top of it....
Sorry about the lousy pic. But, it's all I got..

Had both... I much prefer a real wood burning stove... Much more heat with much less wood and longer burn time... Still pretty cool as a visual in a family room... Wife likes the fact that there's ZERO smoke/smell in the house. IF I were going to go the fireplace route, I'd have a mason build the fireplace out of firebrick and brick/stone facade... No metal inserts for me.
There's another option and that is a fireplace with a wood burning stove insert with a blower... My inlaws have this. When they built their house they had it installed in the fireplace and tied into the central heat duct-work... Sucker works great! Not sure who builds them now though. Theirs is a Carolina stove, but that company is no longer in business.
