Bait tank update and other musings from the weekend

Hey good morning all. I appreciate all of the responses and suggestions to my post about the tank issues. We bleached both tanks, for third time, but left the bleach water in them for a few days this time. After we flushed them out we put about a dozen minnows in each tank to see how they would do. That was on Friday and they were all alive and kicking this morning. The ones in the trash cans are all living their best life as well, so at least we know we have a good backup.

On another note, I did get a chance to drag out some 3D targets and get them set up and do a little shooting with the oldest boy. And, I only ran the mower off in the lake once. All in all, not a bad weekend.

That’s awesome! What type of aeration system do you use for the trash cans?

I would like to be able to keep blue gills alive a few days awaiting for better weather days to feed the cats!

I will get a picture of the box that the little compressor came in and message you with it. We just pull one tube and ball out of the bait tank and put it in the trash can.

Thanks. We are about 40 miles south of Tulsa. We are between Okmulgee Lake and Dripping Springs.

We're digging it so far. We bought it back in December. It came with a house, storage units and 14 acres that adjoins a creek that runs between two lakes. These are pics from right after we moved in. My wife runs the shop during the day while I'm at work, so she has pretty much completely rearranged it since these pics were taken.

After seeing my water gardens my Mom decided to put one in. Next day her gold fish were all dead. Cleaned it real well and next day all the gold fish were dead. I went out and pulled it out of the ground and bleached it, leaving the bleach water in for several hours. More gold fish and next day still alive. She was so happy for about 3 days. The coons pushed her frog fountain around and it pumped the water out into the yard until pond was empty. Pump burned up and................the coons ate all her gold fish.
