    Carvana experience??

My daughter is graduating this year and is gonna need a better car heading to Kansas for college...anyone used Carvana? I absolutely HATE the back and forth at a dealership and wondering if this is a good alternative. Any good/bad experiences?

yep. Bought my wife's last car there. No issue or surprises.

They actually called on day 7 and made sure we wanted to keep the car.

I've been shopping for a minivan on there lately.

There is no back and forth at the dealer these days. You pay their price or leave...

I used VROOM for my Camaro and it was pretty easy. Took a small amount of time to get all the paperwork uploaded, but it was pretty painless.

That wasnt what my wife experienced at all. She bought a late model, low mileage car from bed at abut 11:00pm on a Saturday night, and it was delivered by the following Tuesday. She was pre approved for financing, looked around on their web site and found what she wanted, filled out paperwork, was approved and went to sleep.

Signed paperwork when they dropped off the car and was done with it all. Less than 1 hour start to finish. Have had no problems with the vehicle and it was in the exact condition they claimed it was. If they sold trucks, I would have used them to do that deal too.

we bought a mazda at freeman mazda. no back and forth, they had a firm price but no extras. actually the extras were already added to the car so you couldnt take them off. 0.9% interest rate for 36 months.

This is true, and funny that this points out the fact that the back and forth at the dealership is dictated by us consumers trying to get the dealer to take less for the product. Carvana has a set price, if you don't like it you move on. At a dealer you try to get them to come off the price creating the back and forth. What you cannot get at Carvana is service, or any help down the road if needed.

I just bought a used car from Carvana for my daughter. The process was very easy, paperwork online, submitted insurance etc. It is scheduled to be delivered to my house next week. I will take it to my mechanic to review and go from there.

Most of their cars I see are marginal. Most are “ rusty”. Some are real rusty. We finally condemned a BMW of theirs not because the engine blew up ( that happens “ but because I showed em where I could push a pen thru a spot on both sides of the front cross member rails because of rust.

FWIW - there isn’t much back and forth these days at the dealership. Its whats on the window (sometimes more) or you can leave the lot. At least with Honda and Toyota.
