    Help setup my new bow

Just got the call that my LH Mathews V3 31 is at the shop now I need to get serious about sights and rests

Where I am coming from is a old Mathews mq2 everything on it is dang near 20 years old.

Will most likely go with the CBE Tactic 5 pin sight though I really only want 4. What I don’t know is if I want to go super simple with like a whisker biscuit or a drop away

Any other must haves as far as stabilizers etc I should be looking at?

I have a CBE Tactic 3-pin sight for sale- $45. Brand new- put on bow, sighted bow in and took sight off. I went back to my single slider pin set up.

Arrow rest- Whisker Biscuit is super simple and accurate to 50 yds. Restricted to 3 fletch arrows. Drop Away offers unlimited fletch set-up. I would suggest a contained style rest if you select a draw away.

If any interest in bow sight- send me a PM and we can exchange sales/shipping related info. Thanks

I would go with a drop away rest. QAD is reliable and the new integrated version for matthews is quiet and light weight. I shoot a Hamskea trinity hunter pro but its heavy and louder.

I shoot a single pin so i cant help you on the sight.

Most people that I work with start with a whisker biscuit and upgrade to a drop away rest. I have a QAD that I think is fantastic, it is super reliable and after four years of nearly constant use it continues to preform really well. My dad has a Ripcord drop away rest on his Diamond that works well. He does have some complaints with it but not enough for him to change it.

Anyone have any experience with the vapor trail gen 7?

QAD HDX or the integrate. Hamskea makes good rests as well, but I don’t think I’ll ever shoot anything but a QAD for hunting. The CBE sight is a good one. I bought the MBG 5 pin slider, after my first hunt I went home and cut two pins out making it a 3 pin. Loved it ever since.
