BLowtech did it to me again

Some might remember this pic from 2yrs ago of my 340 Destroyer 12 days before I left on my elk hunt.

Fast forward to today when I went out for a quick practice session and noticed that my knocking point and my rest put my arrow almost touching my site house….a inspection resulted in finding the following on my upper limb of my Bowtech Insanity CPX

Bowtech refused to help on the last situation(have emails directly from them stating so) and hoping for better results from Bowtech this time……but don’t have high hopes. Tomorrow will tell.

That’s no dry fire. They do it at static. Seen it literally dozens of times.

Man glad you found that when you did. Not to be a smarty but is there a third bowtech coming?

I hear you. They sent me on a hour drive to a shop that couldn’t repair crossbows. Then they were supposed to send warranty parts to the shop in SA and charged the shop for the parts. Fing $300 repair bill. Their response “That shop is really good, they do good work”. I’m like what? Last Bowtech I own.

I owned one bow tech I bought in a pawnshop. It split like the 1st one (not nearly as bad). Richard at TX archery called them and I got new limbs delivered and installed in 4 days.

            For free.

That being said, I shot a deer that season and went to another brand

That’s a very FAIR question….and point made “are you going to do it to yourself AGAIN?”
I shoot Bowtechs just so darn well(when they aren’t blowing up) and that’s the only reason I went back. If they send me limbs I’ll obviously stick with it, but when the time comes for another history is going to put me elsewhere.

I’m hoping they’ll take care of you. Any reasonable business would want to set that straight!

They are bad about that. They should come with safety glasses. Good luck!

I didn’t know Bowtech had such a reputation for bad limbs. That could explain all the Excalibur limb issues. I had limb issues with two Excaliburs in one deer season which kind of soured me. My son is still using one of the ones with warranted limbs, but I went to a Stryker thinking I was bettering myself. Since Bowtech owns Stryker and Excalibur, I guess I could be in for more problems down the road.

Never heard of bowtech, but I am stupid. I just use Hoyt.

How are you storing it? Has it been susceptead to sitting in heat for extended periods? I’ve always been really paranoid of limbs delaminating due to sitting in a black case in the bed of truck for long trips. Could be a factor to the issue.

They sit in the heat while hunting….

Curious to see if bow tech warranties it.
