My Daughter;

Powderhorn WMA
Colorado Bend State Park
Inks Lake/Longhorn Caverns State Park

Best of luck to you all! I'm mostly hoping my daughter wins one of her hunts! I'd be very fine with not winning either of mine to watch her get to hunt!

National Refuge Archery Deer - Hagerman, and Private Lands Either Sex for La Salle County & Coleman County

I put in for several of the private land hunts (some solo, some with a buddy and a few with my kids).

Youth GDE I put my son in for the chap, James daughtrey and Inks lake. Fingers crossed he draws. He's at max points for his age (he's 14).

I was excited for today. Then looked and realized I'm not in for any of the hunts scheduled to draw.

I put in for a couple of the e-postcard hunts for archery deer.

First time applying as a group with a couple buddies instead of family and kids on some archery hunts. Laguna Atascosa and a couple LRGV units.

The trinity river nwr archery is cool because it's semi close to home and it's actually like a 23 day season. I am fully aware it's a lot of pigs and that's fine. I see it as if we draw it's a mini season!

I Hunted Trinity River the last two years. Still haven't talked to anyone that's taken a deer. Only a couple of people that have seen one. Including me. But man the number of pigs on that place is astounding. They don't even care that you are there.

The first year I laughed at an $80 permit to hunt squirrels out there. Then I won the deer hunt. I've never seen a place so covered up in squirrels. That may be a fair price to pay.
