Any Pentair IntelliBrite experts? Houston/Katy area

I have the color LED IntelliBrite lights in our pool, two in the pool, one in the hot tub. Both pool lights have stopped working. These lights have never been synched, turn them on with the app and one would be one color, the other something else.

Seems finding someone that knows hw to work on these is tough, at least in our area. I want to replace them so the kids can swim at night. These things ate $600 or more each.

Does anyone know if there is an option to rebuild them, saw replacement “motors” on eBay, how hard is this?

Any Houston/Katy folks that know how to work on these lights?

Ours have been nothing but trouble and getting someone that knows what their doing with them is even more trouble.

I would recommend a different brand…but not sure if there is a better option.

We’ve got them and they worked great for a while. The red went out in one and the white went out in another. Given the cost were just going to go with regular white lights as replacements.

Have you contacted your pool builder or service person for warranty work? Pentair is usually decent on replacing stuff.

I think they had one year warranty, had a service guy Pentair sent out, he was just a pool builder, who tried to get them to be the same color, finally gave up and handed me the manual and suggested I read and follow that to get them synched…even the so called expert couldn’t get them working properly. The lights are 4 years old now.

We are planning on going back with just a blue l, but that was still $600/each. At least that’s what my pool guy quoted me. I did a search and it looks like you get either white or the multi-color mode.

Did a quick search for aftermarket kits and found this:

Pentair has a line of underwater pool and spa lights that they sell under the brand name Intellibrite 5g.  Both of these lights have inside of them a part that they refer to as a color LED light engine.  This part consists of both computer chips and led chips that control the LEDs and the color and shows that are proje

Will be able to upgrade both pool lights and the spa light to a brighter light with a one year warranty for less than 2 pool lights. Looks like an easy replacement as well.

Apparently these Pentair lights regularly fail at about 4 years, right in schedule as out pool is not quite 5 years old.
