    AR Lower Build

Greetings all. I have a lower I am wanting to build, but seems like everytime I want to start it, something comes up. I've never built one before and wanting to see cost for somebody in Arlington area that knows how and what they would charge.

Dedicate 1 hour for it, bet you'll be finished in a little over half of that.

There are a few things that can be tricky, like getting some of the springs and detents in the lower. Then sometimes getting the roll pin in the gas block can be a royal pain. Most of the rest of the job is easy.

I wouldn't pay someone to do it. Watch a few videos and assemble in a small room with no carpet. You'll thank me later. The only hard part is the front takedown pin spring and detent. I've found that just pushing the spring/detent down with angled plyers then hold it down with my DL while I push in the takedown pin. They make specialized tools, but that just takes the fun out of it.

Do it yourself. Nothing to it.

Just fire up a YouTube vid, you're 100% capable of doing it in less time than it would take to meet with someone to hand it off. Pause the YouTube after each step and walk right along with it as you go.

You can do this...It is not hard at all and there is a satisfaction to building your own stuff. Many vids on youtube.
If you plan on putting a better than stock trigger in it( Now would be the time), they go in quite easily. Most one piece drop in types. The hardest part I have found is the bolt hold catch pin. It pays to have a vice and have the receiver held firmly by a magwell block.
This is basically all you need depending on the stock type you choose. Oh and some blue painters tape to cover up the receiver when tapping pins with hammer to protect finish. Because misses do happen.

Bobby if I was still in Arlington I’d do it for you.

Or if you want to meet up during the week in FTW and hand it off I’ll put it together and we can catch up to get it back to you.

Or next time you are headed to the lease we can meet on 199 outside Springtown.

Text me if you still have my number.
