I read it is owned by the Mathews family - assuming the one’s in Shackleford?

I found some nice ones on Hall and Hall. 65k acres in Texas sounds nice.

Hunted northern 4300 acres of that ranch for 9 years back in the 90’s. Incredible history and beauty. My son killed his first deer there at age 4. Killed my best buck ever there. Part of the Lamshead. Got to meet Watt Mathews himself several times. Also watched Sam Walton and Ray Murski quail hunt off mules with custom saddles that held their favorite mixed drink. In 9 years we saw free ranging Buffalo twice. Place is truly part of some of my favorite memories with friends and family.

I sure hate to see these big ranches that have been in families for generations get sold.

Saw something recently, talking about the societies past for which people spent their lives working on things they'd never see finished, taking pride that their grandkids would see the day.

Our society has lost that type of generational forward-thinking.
