    Copperhead massacre

Buddy killed 11 at his place in schulemburg today....thats a lot of slithering vipers....really makes u stop and think about tromping around in the brush like you are invincible, as I'm known to do at times....its like that startling reminder when you been speeding and u get pulled over with a warning, and tell yourself you really gotta start making more of an effort to watch your speed....except a.bit more serious

****, that’s my hometown. We’re remodeling an old farmhouse in Hallettsville now and haven’t come across any so far, but the neighbors have been slaughtering them. Guess they know I mean business. Lol

Some people have all the luck. I'd be making good money if I had those around.

Looks like these have been eating well. It amazes me how well they blend in to the environment.

I have been wanting some copper head skins to make things out of. That would have been nice. I have only found four copper heads on our property. I killed three of the four, only found one at a time. I have two of them in the freezer. Both of them are small. The only one of the four that got away, was at least three foot long, had some really nice coloring. I have looked for that snake every time I go back around the feeder.

It seems the copper heads have figured out they should avoid me at all costs. Once I decided I really wanted a big colorful copperhead skin, they have vanished.

The old saying, "Nothin' can mess up a squirrel hunt like seein' a copperhead" comes to mind. It'd be exceptionally hard to look UP in trees for squirrels after seeing 11 of them...Friend of mine killed an even 20 of them at his cabin a few years ago. Most of them were about a foot long, probably the same litter...
