Florida Keys Vacation

We’ve decided to hit up FL for late summer vacation this year. I know we’re rolling the dice on hurricane season but outside of that any suggestions? At first glance we’re looking at VRBO places in Key West. Any reason we should be looking further up the keys like Marathon or Isla Morada, etc? We do plan on fishing at least a couple times while there as well so any guide recommendations would be welcome. Do you need to rent a car or could you Uber/bike and walk around pretty easily?

We liked Islamorda. The Cheeca Lodge is great.

If you go there, I will recommend Rum Front Sportfishing. We had a great trip with him.

Afternoon drinks on the piers with live music playing watching the sun fall into the gulf as it sets is a good time.

fishing and snorkeling should be on the list! Also, as long as you are not full size like me, they have sky-diving that I want to try one day... Key west bars are very cool, and we usually on Little Torch Key at Parmers.
