Anyone know any good spots in Port Mansfield to target flounder?

Going on a company tournament trip this weekend and with the updated slot and bag limit for trout, I'm going to try and specifically target redfish and flounder

Flounder south of Corpus are a lot fewer and far between. Good luck

Flounder are generally few and far between in the lower laguna. The upper coast is your best bet for flounder. Mansfield is great for trout and reds though!
I’d think backwater ponds / marsh - gonna need a skinny boat. Keep us posted- been wondering what the sea trout situation is like down there since the big freeze.

We do pretty good on flounder around Port Mansfield. Fish the inlets to the channel usually do pretty good there

Catch them nearly very trip down there while wading. Key in on Structure/bait along windward shorelines. Caught them in 1ft or less on corky floaters and on drop offs with plastics. We do better north of town on the flatties.

I have caught plenty of flounder on a cane pole, while fishing for mangrove pargo around the dock poles and shallow flats between them
Drifting the land cut fishing shallow to deep has been fruitful on the big three

I’ve caught flounders wading in the small channels that run off of the cut. We would drive back there and wade in the waist high water. Killed the trout some decent reds and flounder back there using lure. Early morning was always best in our old spot.

Fished friday with SE 25 mph winds so we ran up to Gladis, managed to land a 22.5" trout. Only trout for us both Friday and Saturday with 3 guys on the boat. From there we went more north to fish the west drop-offs in the landcut. Was able to land some nice reds in Gladis, not much luck in the landcut. Saturday we fished just south of PM in the dumping grounds and had fog until around lunchtime and then the redfish bite turned on and landed 9 that afternoon. Trout were few and far between for everyone the whole trip. But there was one boat that caught a 3 man limit of trout at the community bar saturday afternoon.
