280ai brass in stock (Midway)

They got a lot of brass in last night, PV has some powder this morning to.

At almost $2 a round that seems expensive. I have seen 50 and 500 round boxes at Grafs.com. They don’t have them in stock at the moment, but I have heard great things about this brass and when it is in stock it was half the price.

Man, That's interesting...looks like lapua with that annealing.

The Nosler is super soft & I run mine hot so not much life...I have a .311 neck & the nosler loads out to .310 with the last boxes I've received. Ever since they came out I have not had to neck turn. I might reach out & see if they can give neck wall thickness.

Paul, that Peterson is some good stout brass. Primer pockets have been phenomenal, as good if not better than Lapua.

I don’t have a .280ai...but after learning so much from the group and debating back and forth on what to build with APR, I found a lot of unexpected information about the cartridge. It will probably be the next build...

However, I found this a comparison of Nosler vs. Peterson Brass while doing research...and it looks like it is very very consistent...even more so than Nosler, at a better price and with brass that will last longer.

Mike, could you please give me the OD of one of your loaded 260 Rem rounds using Peterson brass?
I'd like to get a head start in ordering the proper neck bushing die if possible.

I’ll try to remember when I get home.

I usually size mine about .003 under and then finish with an internal mandrel.

Both Midway USA and Brownells have to Nosler Brass In stock...50 for about $98 plus tax.

Maybe it’s worth it just to have brass. Who knows when regular prices are coming back...probably 12-18 months from what I am reading.

Hey, I just noticed that Eurooptic.com allows back orders on Peterson .280ai. Current price is $51.33 for a box of 50. Who knows when it will be in...but you will get it for a fair price when it does arrive. I’m at least a year away from buying a rifle...but I’m already itching to pick up brass.
