Not seeing much in extended forecast but that can change quickly!

It looks like we might get down close to freezing a night or two next week in Centex. Was planning on planting tomatoes this weekend, but this has me trigger shy.

Right now they are calling for 32 here overnight a week from Wednesday. Our average last freeze is March 12th so that’s about right. Of course we’ve had a freeze as late as mid April. I usually wait and plant tomatoes about March 20th.

Canadian model actually has the cold coming in a couple of waves beginning 3/16 and another deeper cold pushing in 3/18, that one has temps in the 20’s for much of Texas west of i35 at noon on 3/18.

It’s spring break, it’s not uncommon to get a dump of cold air. Too far out to put money on anything. But either way if it comes it will be cold relative to March temps, not like what we saw in mid-feb.

Sounds about right. Just replaced the mater plants we lost the last time around and put some seeds in the ground that I would normally plant this time of year! Hope it doesn't get this far south!
