    Message from Allen West

I don't know how to post the link so if someone can go to www.texasgop.org and click on the link to Allen West's message for Monday, 1/11, and post it-it's a really good read. This is who we need to get behind for President but I don't know that he would run.

I would be happy with Governor, I want him to unseat, metaphorically speaking, Emperor Abbott

I think he is likely to be our next Governor and I welcome it.

President of the Republic of Texas has a ring to it as well...

Cool, calm, collected, strategic while playing chess, not checkers! I can't argue that point no matter where you fall-out during this historic crisis in America. Both sides need to take stock of their rhetoric. After LtC West faltered in Florida as a congressman it was interesting to see his move to Texas. I don't see him being governor of Texas but he will have input into serious republican strategy over the next 10 years, all while staying cool & collected as that is what leaders of men do. Glad he was not still discussing succession in this update as that rhetoric was not helpful to anyone.

As I remember it, LtC West did not falter in Florida, but was gerrymandered out by the Fla State RINOs. They just vanished his district with the wave of a pen. He is a great man and I sent money to his campaign in Florida, years ago.

Gerrymandering is part of the political game. It happens during every cycle ever since early 1800's and definitely during census population changes every 10 years. West had won a Republican seat in a traditionally democrat district on his second attempt with huge support from the Tea Party. He was in the most expensive congressional race during 2010 to hold on to his seat and loss to a democrat. His gerrymandered district was a direct result of the 2010 census, so really redistricting in already shaky district. The RINO's did not like him but they were not directly responsible for the redistricting lines changing in his area.
Don't forget, Gerrymandering is a practice intended to establish an unfair political advantage for a particular party or group by manipulating district boundaries. If memory is right Mr. Gerry was one of the signers of the constitution.

A friend of his told me he's not interested in governor as much as I want him to. West had an event scheduled at my place, free of charge, but with covid it got canceled.

Not surprised really. I don't think he would carry the entire state.

With a fair election I think he would, currently all he has to do is out primary Abbott. General election shenanigans who knows now
