Surprise Song Dog

Let the dogs out on the back yard after getting back from cutting firewood all afternoon. Look toward the creek and see what I assume is one of the doe that is usually out that time of evening. Well, Barron our male GSD barks and the “doe” turns and trots toward the fence. I then realize it’s a big coyote! I get the dogs inside, sprint to the safe and grab the suppressed 6.5PRC. Get back out and he’s down in the creek...I’m looking in the scope and my son says, “Dad, he’s behind that bush.” He cam back out of the creek and the PRC devastated him. Song dog down!

He was kinda quartering when I shot. Hit shoulder on the entrance side. Exit side was ugly lol.

PRC blew a hole the size of a pie plate out the exit side at 40 yards
