White spots on Red Oak Leaves

Anyone know what these spots are and what is causing it?

    Thank you

I have the exact same thing and I showed it to the guy at the Co-Op. It is powdery mildew. Easily treated with Hi Yeild Fungus Control with cholorathanil.

He said it is caused from a lot of rain or overhead watering.

I had it narrowed to leaf spotting or powdery mildew so was curious.

        Thank you

I've had the same condition on my Red Oak (in Rockwall) the last two years. According to Neil Sperry, it's common leafspot and will not harm the tree.

I've got the same thing on my oak trees. Last year it was just on one of them but this year they all have it. I've got mostly burr oaks and a couple in not sure of. I remember that last year the one tree who's leaves had the spots ended up dropping it's leaves before the others did.

This has been bothering me for 2 years, thank you.
