Both are 125gr, which one?? 380gr arrow @ 295fps both fly with field points. Just can’t make up my mind.

Difficult choice. Buzz cuts have an awesome warranty.

I have had the little bleeder blades on the 4 blade model Buzzcut sheer off after shooting a deer. Don’t know where that thing ended up. Kind of dangerous if it got left behind in the animal.

I can’t argue the fact thunderheads have killed dump truck loads of animals... and I too have killed with them

Thunderhead- probably the worst Ferel in the industry for durability. Blades are cheap, stamped 1/2 dull. Blade retention is absolutely horrific (why I quit em )

Never personally shot Magnus products. They seem well built with a warranty.

At your speed I’d go Magnus. Making the shot is great.... but if the blades ain’t intact and sharp, failures can still occur

Buzzcut. Only problem I’ve had with those is when it pulled the lung with it as it exited. Which plugged the hole and made a tough blood trail.

                  Never used Buzzcut

I started shooting the Thunderhead back around 1987 or so. It was my go-to until I learned about the Slick Trick

Wow! Not one person for Thunderheads. I always thought they were a good head.

In their time they were. Then everyone passed them in blade retention. It’s horrible.

Ferrel design with a long aluminum platform all but guaranteed it was trash after one shot. No denial they killed lots of animals. But they wouldn’t make the top 50 today

What blade retention issues did you have? I shot them for years and never had a problem unless I didn’t pay attention when installing them on the arrow.

I did not know this. I have a set of 85gr I have never hunted with. Blades are scary sharp. I have had these for a long time....1994 I think. Practiced with them some.

The thin blade combined with the way it goes into the tip. Every time I ever hit any bone or a little ol rib the blades would shear off. In a budget head I can get muzzy for $9 on sale and imho are 10x the broadhead.

I shoot slicktrick, and that wasn’t what op had in his options... but I’ve found no reason to look farther. Amazing off shelf broadheads

Both will work, I like the cutting diameter of the thunderheads more but a super sharp magnus is deadly. I think the Magnus are more forgiving in flight as well. The thunderheads just take some effort to keep the blades in, just gotta put the washers on it until it gets tight
