I don't see why in the world anyone would want to be tested that is not sick. All it does is add to the screwed up gubment system of fear mongering... Hell, if you think you got the Kung-Flu get started on the quidine/zinc/D3 and Vitimin C regimen and knock it out and go on about your bidness. If you're still sick, go see your doctor. If you suspect you have a cold, do you go get tested? You go get tested if you have the sniffles? Makes absolutely no sense! We gotta get off that brainwashing syndrome and get back to living our lives!

    OK rant over.... Sorry Russ...

The reason someone may want to get tested that isn't showing signs of being sick or having Covid is pretty simple to understand. Some people (possible O blood types, young, or healthy and fit, ect.) don't show any signs and can still have it and pass it along.

So maybe someone who isn't sick wants to go see with their parents, who have underlying issues, or that cousin that is trying to beat cancer and they would like to know they aren't passing something off to them that they were not aware of.

This logic works only if said person stayed in a sterile environment from test time to contact with kin. Otherwise its a feel good horn toot

I can understand why people would want to know. I would want to know.

But.... and especially if a person is worried about giving it to an elderly or sick relative…..

The test is only good for the moment it was taken. Supposedly COVID-19 has something like a 2 to 5 day window or incubation period where it will not show up on the test. So a person could be exposed three days ago, get tested on the afternoon of the third day and then get the results a week later and it shows negative. The only problem is by that time they could have a full-blown case with or without symptoms.

A sick or elderly person who is not yet showing symptoms could get a test that shows negative a week later but die of the disease before the negative test comes back.

That sucks but there it is.
