    Bugs in Feed

Just had a fresh load of bulk Protein delivered and it had these bugs in it. Has anybody seen these before or can you ID them? So far nobody at the Feedmill or anywhere else has been able to tell me what they are.

Looks like a maize weevil. That could have come from neighboring corn stocks in the warehouse you got the protein from. Hard to tell unless you get an extreme closeup.

These bugs are about half the size of a pencil eraser. Weevils are usually about the size of a sugar ant.

        I would reject the load
If feed mill cant tell you what they are - are you going to still feed?
Hope they where dead at least and not multiplying

Is that protein supposed to be pellets? If it's powder, as it looks, how do you feed it?

The picture is the fines that fall out of chute as bin is being filled.

I would have told them to stop filling my feeder and figure out a way to clean it out

Never mind the fact I would not be paying them for feed with bugs in it
