Face masks can help slow the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Learn about mask types, which masks to use and how to use them.

Your mask doesn't protect you, it protects the other person. Their mask protects you. N95 with exhaust port on front, like in those test in your link, only protect wearer for dust and large floating particles like paint. That is because that is what those type N95 mask were designed for, and why I wear it mowing.

There is a difference between "preventing" and "helping control".

It's pretty evident that wearing a proper facial covering will help with vapor droplets.

If you don't want to wear one.... don't. I work at a facility that has had over 200 people test positive. Do I wear one when around others and wash my hands frequently? Yes I do.

Not according to the studies and since I ain't wearing one I don't have to worry about the adverse affects of wearing a useless mask.

You have to read the studies and see what they were actually testing, not take the word of some guy on youtube telling you what the study was about. Studies for reduction in vapor released thru speaking is on the side of wearing mask.

So, people in various occupations like hospital personnel, sand blasters, painters, lab workers, etc. wear masks day in and day out while working. And, have done so for years. How come all of these people are not having adverse effects from wearing masks or ppe? But, people that may wear them for a few minutes a day while shopping or around others when not social distancing do.

Ever notice Asians traveling or in airports. Many wear masks everywhere. Wonder how they have made it this far without having adverse effects.

Dang Lawrence of Arabia, belly dancers, and ninjas wearing face coverings! I bet the adverse effects shortened their lives!

Sand, dust, paint etc are the size of a mountain compared to a virus. Are you assuming those that wear masks have no adverse affects or do you have some sort of proof you can post up for us to read? If there were no chance of an adverse affect from mask wearing then why does my doctor tell me to routinely clean my CPAP? Why do the professionals tell you to wash your cloth mask daily?

                      How many people work there?
If 300 or less then wearing a mask is pointless.

I don't understand why people are scared to catch the Flu. Why are we trying to stop it from spreading? Let it run it's course and be done with it. We can't stop it and everyone should understand that by now.

And no, hospitals are not running full Get them full and then we can talk but that won't happen IMO.

DO people not understand that only 1% of us have supposedly gotten COVID? According to science that mask wearers like to go by that leaves 64% more of us to catch it. Keep closing everything down and wearing masks and we will have another 30 years to go LOL

And what happens next year when another virus comes out? Do people not understand we get a new virus pretty much every year going around?

Does make me wonder how long till a super virus hits with a 40-70% death rate. It will happen one day. There are some viruses floating out there now that just haven't mutated to spread easily, but mother nature is always improving.

If you can keep numbers down as treatment improve, and a vaccine get closer, I think we are better off. The best way to keep the economy open is wearing mask

In your opinion of course. Oh, and there won't be a vaccine just like there is currently none for any existing corona viruses thus far. In my opinion of course.

The best way to keep The economy open is for everyone to just go to work and tell the govt to **** off.
IM still trying to understand this thought process of closing the economy for a pandemic when we have never done it in the past when faced with pandemics.

Most coronaviruses don't need a vaccine. They aren't deadly so it isn't worth the money, but that changed with this strain.
