Losing your Lease

Man it is a throat punch to lose your lease. Because it got sold and we never even new it was for sale . I mean it cuts pretty deep feels like the day your high school sweetheart says she found someone new when she went off to college. Heck i kinda just want to set at the front gate and have me a little riot I’m so upset. But I guess like they always say good things must come to a end ! Shot my two biggest bucks to date off of this place . And was pretty confident I was going to shoot perhaps my biggest this season if the cards fell right well the deck crumbled so I guess we will never know. End of my crying for now lol . . Here are a few velvet pictures of deer we have to walk away from and that was just four of the protein feeders I checked. We have four more that I haven’t seen the cards of yet .

Yep, it sucks. Sorry you lost what sounded like a great lease. It’s a like a kick to the nuts.

We lost a great lease we’d been on for 12 years, our top end bucks were 150’s, low fence, 7k acres in Crockett county. All we got was a letter stating we’d been “removed” from the lease and had a whole two weeks to get 12 years worth of stuff off. Turns out someone offered the ranch nearly twice what we were paying. We were out and they were in. Hunting is a business, and will almost always go to the highest bidder, and I can’t say that I really blame the ranch for taking more money. It cuts deep though.
