Youth Bow Recommendation - Advice Needed

i have been a member of TBH for many years, and love the forum. I must confess I do not own a vertical bow. Due to a shoulder injury I am unable to draw a bow, so I primarily hunt with a rifle and crossbow. Thus I am by no means a vertical bow expert, so I am turning to rhe TBH brain trust for help and guidance.

My step brother, who is a former Marine, State Trooper, and Dallas PD SWAT officer, recently chose to leave his law enforcement career and he moved back to Houston to help run his family's business. He is a great guy, and very knowledgable regarding fireams, but knows almost nothing about bows. He and his wife have 3 small children, one of which is his 9 year old son, my nephew Patrick. I have offered to take both of them deer hunting with me this fall. My nephew has never hunted before but he is exicred abour going with me.

My step brother contacted me today and stated he wants to buy my nephew a bow, but he has no idea what type of bow to get. He stated he went to Academy, but they were not much help. I told him that based upon my limited knowledge, I would suggest getting an adjustable youth compound bow. To the TBHers, is this the right suggestion, or should he go another route? Do you have any youth bow brands/models you would recommend and/or avoid. I just want to point him in the right direction, and I don't want my nephew to get a bow he has difficulty shooting well, and then end up giving up on the sport of bow hunting. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Mission craze great little bow will grow with him my daughter started with it and I still have it as a back up bow . It has a draw length of 19-30” all adjustable with a Allen wrench. And . Draw weight adjustments is from like 19 -70 depending on the draw length! She was shooting 22” draw at 30 lbs when she started and when I got her a new bow she has grown to 26” draw and pulling 53 lbs on it !

Mission Radik, Hammr or Switch have replaced the Craze and would be great choices depending upon his size.

Years ago I got my son a Diamond Infinity. Then my wife started shooting it so I bought her a pink one. Has all the adjustments needed, like the Craze. I still shoot it from time to time just for fun. Can be adjusted with an allen wrench very easy.
