    Subsonic 450 bushmaster kill results?

Has anyone killed a deer or a decent sized pig with a subsonic 450 bushmaster on a lung shot? I'm curious to see how it went. How much damage, how far did it run, etc.

120lb boar. 50 yard shot. Ran 15-20 yards. Didn't think to look at blood trail cause I saw him fall.
I'm using Speer 300gr jacketed softpoints sitting on 13.8gr of Trailboss. Don't have a chronograph, so don't know their actual speed, but they seem to be below 1200fps. The bullet is made for 45LC so it is designed to expand at slower speeds.

Second pic is exit, 3rd is internal. Lungs were mush, but went over heart. Hydroshock wasn't amazing, but did the job without destroying too much meat.
The scope on my 450 busted, so I can't do anymore testing till I replace it.

Is that the "deep curl"? I tried it but didn't get any expansion.

I'm not sure of what weight you can run in a Bushmaster, but my dad shoots a 425 wide flat nose in his 45-70 at subsonic or near that with spectacular results. The secret is a wide meplat that will push a good pressure wave in front of it, a good wide nose doesn't need much velocity to kill out to as far as you can bit one.

Good info, thanks guys. I'm wanting to try the Hornady 395gr sub-x ammo out of a bolt gun with a Bowers can. Sounds like it'll do the job on a decently placed lung shot.
