    New Mexico two week quarantine.

I saw yesterday where the governor of New Mexico enacted a two week quarantine on anyone entering the state. I’ve got an antelope hunt in August. Anyone with a little more knowledge on the subject know how this will affect hunting?

    Thanks.

    Bud.

No prairie dog hunt either, it’s an annual hunt every year.

As of now the quarantine is voluntary, possible enforcement later.

Would bring on a ranch or in the Nat. Forest not qualify as being in quarantine?

Yes, it is true! If you go hunting in New Mexico you have to hunt for 2 weeks!

My ranch owner just spent two days in the panhandle of of Texas. He said the towns were every good as he has hunted in the Dakotas, Wyoming or Montana. If you are interested let me know and I will get contact info.

I hate the we are losing hunts and spending some money in Texas may not be a bad thing.

Anyone who has drawn tags should be concerned. This governor will probably cancel every non resident hunt this year.

                      So try this one on...

My son just graduated from Law School at Texas Tech. If you take the Bar Exam in Texas, you are only licensed in Texas. If you take the Exam in New Mexico, or a number of other states, there are reciprocal licensing agreements so a bunch of folks take the exam in New Mexico.

It is scheduled for the first week of September. If this 14 day quarantine thing remains in effect, he will have to to Albuquerque two weeks ahead of time in order to be compliant.

                      ...

There’s a better than 50/50 chance Texas either waives or defers the requirement you take the bar for this year’s graduates. Also, double check to make sure that the NM bar doesn’t only count for the multistate portion of the Texas Bar and he wouldn’t still need the Texas state specific portions. There’s reciprocity with NM licensed attorneys but they have to practice 5 years as I recall.

Glad we aren’t on drawn tags, we will roll in, stash truck with TX plates in the middle of 20,000 acre ranch and go about our business riding with the owner.

                          Prove I haven’t been here 15 days......

My wife and I had a trip planned to red river for the 17th thru 24th. I called the city of red river and they said they were not enforcing any quarantine. A friend of mine is there now he said everything is good to go. The only place their requiring mask is the grocery store. I’m still trying to decide if we’re going. My luck I’d get out there and they would decide to start enforcing.
