Picking Up New VXR Today... What arrows?

Picking up my new Mathews VXR 31.5 today. Set up for 29" DL and 70#. Looking into trying out the Easton Hexx 330's. Anyone with a VXR shoot these? Pros/Cons. Any other recommendations?

I've shot Bowtech and Carbon Express for years. Really liked the VXR and just wanted to try something different with my arrows. Who knows. May end up shooting Carbon Express again this season.

Im shooting Goldtip Airstrikes this year but have shot the Hexx 330's for the last few years out of my Halon and Vertix at 65lbs and they were great arrows. Went up to 75lbs this year and needed a 300 spine so I moved over to the Airstrikes.

Congrats on the new bow! I have a 29" 70LB Halon and shoot 30" Hexx 330's with the 50 Gr. brass insert and 100Gr. BH's. This is the max I can go without overloading the spine. Truth be told, it is slightly underspined as is but the bow is tuned so perfect it doesn't show. I tried going to 125's and it doesn't recover. My total arrow weight is 428gr. with just about 13% FOC. I picked up a dozen Hexx 260's and am going to try to build out a 500-520gr. arrow with 17+% FOC. I am also looking at the Black Eagle X-Impact as they have a 300 spine option that looks really good and might be what I need to build a fast, high FOC arrow for my set up. Best of luck in your arrow choosing/tuning process!

All I've been shooting is Black Eagle Arrows for the past 4 years. Great Arrows, Get with Muddy Fuzzy on here and he can build you some awesome arrows. OP I also am shooting a VXR you won't be disappointed with Black Eagles

Congrats on your new bow. I am still waiting for my VXR 31.5 to come in. I too will be shooting the Easton HEXX's out of mine. I have been shooting the HEXX's for a few years now with no complaints. 29" draw, 74 lbs., arrows are cut to 27 1/4" and tip it with a 75 grain head. "Faster, Light, Better" and I know this not today's norm. ha ha.

Enjoy your bow, I bet your setup will shoot the HEXX's very well.

I absolutely, love my VXR 31.5.

I really like the Easton Axis but my local archery shop didn’t have any in stock in 300 spine so I’m shooting the Easton FMJ’s in 300 spine now. Thought I’d give them a go for the heck of it. I’m liking them so far.

I have a bunch of 340 spine Axis but this bow/specs is really liking the 300 spine.

Did you order a custom or buy inventory from the bow shop?
