So in October I planted six more fruit trees
Shinko pear
Pineapple pear
Hood pear
Nectarine
Apricot
No name peach (I know it's a peach just don't know the variety)
All threw fruit but only the shinko and pineapple stuck
All fruit on other trees fell off a few weeks ago
I'm not worried about that as they are babies and I should have rubbed the flowers anyway.
The best thing is one of these new trees pollinated my six year old Moonglow pear tree and now that Moonglow is chock FULL of pears
I mean all over!
I've also been trapping Coons all spring to keep them out my trees but it seems like I trap one and two comes back.
I might have to invest in some dukes as this one at a time in the cage is slow going.
I've also cut several paths in my back 40
Bunch of water oaks (I'll need the wood winter 21-22)
Everybody is already making use of the new trails
Good stuff!
Got a crossbow from Walmart for fifty bucks I need to set up.
It was a covid project I never got around to
